Wood composite spiral staircases & parts

Wood composite is the tread material behind some of our most popular outdoor spiral staircases. It is paired with an aluminum structure for full exterior performance, and can be customized based on your desired color and finish.

Outdoor spiral staircase with wood composite treads

A durable surface with the appearance of wood grain

Chosen for its resistance to weather and wear, wood composite combines the warmth of natural wood grain with a surface engineered to withstand daily outdoor exposure. All of our wood composite tread coverings are paired with an aluminum spiral staircase structure for outdoor and coastal applications.

Low maintenance

Unlike natural wood, composite treads don’t require regular staining, sealing, or painting. An occasional wash with soap and water keeps them clean, without sacrificing the warm colors and grain patterns of wood.

Resists weather, moisture, and sun exposure

Composite material resists rot, splintering, warping, and mold, making it a dependable choice for outdoor and damp environments. Plus, it can withstand UV exposure without heavy fading or cracking.

Made with recycled materials

Composite tread coverings are made from up to 95% recycled materials, including reclaimed wood and plastic waste, offering a durable walking surface with a smaller material footprint.

Available in a range of color options

Wood composite tread coverings are available in colors like Weathered Tik, Tiger Wood, White Washed Cedar, French White Oak, Natural White Oak, Brownstone, and Toasted Wheat, so your treads can complement the color palette of your outdoor decking.
